Our Velvet Tudor Bonnets are the perfect accompaniment to your PhD or Doctoral attire. The Tudor Bonnet is
strongly associated with Academic tradition and is worn as part of the academic dress by a person who holds a
doctorate degree. As the name suggests ,the bonnet was very popular in England and elsewhere during the
Tudor times Dating back to the 1600s.
Made from the highest quality velvet, and with a durable and comfortable design, they are available in BLACK
with gold or red Tassel cords. Other custom colours are available on request. Some popular colour combinations
are – Red (gold cord), Royal Blue (gold cord), Black (Maroon cord) and Black (Gold cord). They are designed with
the traditional soft round cap, with a tassel hanging from a cord encircling the hat. We also offer a classic 6 point
velvet Tam.
The correct way to measure your head size is to take the circumference approximately 1 inch above your
eyebrows. If you are not sure what size you need, we would recommend going for the larger size, allowing a
more comfortable fit.
